Domaine Alain Patriarche

De Patriarche familie maakt al wijn in Meursault sinds 1820. Alain volgde zijn vader op in 1970 en droeg in 2012 het stokje over aan de vijfde generatie: Zijn dochter Maud en schoonzoon Marc, die Alain al reeds 15 jaar ondersteunde in het wijnmaken. In 2019 werd hun dochter Margaux officieel actief in het domein. Vandaag de dag bestrijkt het domein 6 hectare. Alain leerde Marc dat het werk in de wijngaard het belangrijkste is. Er wordt zo natuurlijk mogelijk gewerkt en alle druiven worden met de hand geplukt. Wijnmaken gebeurt op traditionele wijze. Nieuw hout wordt gekozen afhankelijk van de herkomst van de druif. Maud, Marc en Margaux maken een oorspronkelijke stijl Bourgogne, genereus en complex met duidelijke terroir expressie.

The Patriarche family has been making wine in Meursault since 1820. Alain succeeded his father in 1970 and passed the baton in 2012 to the fifth generation: His daughter Maud and son in law Marc, who had been assisting Alain already for 15 years. In 2019 their daughter Margaux became actively involved. These days the estate consists of 6 hectare. Alain showed Marc that working the vineyards is pivotal. Practises are as natural as possible and all grapes are hand harvested. Winemaking occurs in a traditional way. New oak is applied according to the origins of the grape. Maud, Marc and Margaux make a authentic style Burgundy, generous and complex with clear terroir expression.
