Famille Lieubeau

Joseph Lieubeau werd in 1816 te vondeling gelegd in Nantes en grootgebracht door een wijnmakers familie. Hij begon een eigen familie en een wijnbedrijf. Vandaag de dag is het bedrijf in handen van Pierre en Chantal en hun kinderen François, Vincent en Marie.  De weg naar conversie naar biologische certificatie begon in 2015. De familie combineert de authentieke wijntechnieken, waaronder lange lie rijping met een techniek van het scheiden van de perswijnen, iets wat ongewoon is voor de regio. Het resultaat: Zeer precieze wijnen die eigen zijn aan het gebied. De familie is trouw aan de cru’s van Muscadet en maakt deze gastronomische wijnen die ware expressies zijn van de verschillende terroirs.

Joseph Lieubeau was a foundling in Nantes born in 1816 and raised by a winemakers family. He started his own family and a winery. These days the business is run by Pierre and Chantal and their children François, Vincent and Marie. The conversion to organic viticulture starting in 2015. The family combines ancestral winemaking techniques, such as long lee ripening, with a technique of separating the different press fractions, which is unusual in the region. This results in very precise wines, true to the appellation. The family is also loyal to Muscadet’s classic cru’s and produces from different plots very gastronomic wines that are true expressions of the different terroirs.
